Y.E.S. and BEST
In March 2005, igus Inc. launched the Y.E.S. (Young Engineers Support) Program designed to foster the mechanical design ideas and inventions of students and engineers alike, while at the same time educating them on the merits and benefits of plastic components. Through the program, igus donates free samples and technical support to students for engineering or robotics projects and competitions. The company manufactures industry-leading plastic bearings, linear guide systems, cable carriers and continuous-flex cables. Igus is a proud sponsor of the BEST Robotics Competition, providing a generous donation of its various polymer machinery components to more than 700 teams across the United States. The benefits of the Y.E.S. Program are boundless for igus, young engineers and BEST participants. Igus enjoys helping students transform their design ideas into reality and looks forward to learning about the creative ways its products are incorporated into those designs. Igus also welcomes inquiries from engineers, team sponsors and project advisors in order to learn about the ways they can take advantage of the Y.E.S. Program.
